Burglaries in Thailand: A Growing Concern
This is not an isolated case, as burglaries have been an ongoing issue in various parts of Thailand.
- Phatthalung Province: In mid-2024, a series of six burglaries within two months left shop owners facing millions of baht in losses. The culprits targeted small businesses, including a coin-operated oil vending machine on April 19.
- Phuket: On New Year’s Day, a family returned to their home in Chalong Village to find it burglarised. Thieves made off with a safe containing 1 million baht, gold bars, gold necklaces, and passports.
Security Measures Urged
